Task: Review Service Improvement Implementation
This task will verify if the status of the open Service Improvement Implementation Plans and assure they will be completed on time and within budget. Where variances are determined, appropriate actions to address them that include deadlines and responsibilities must be undertaken.

Regularly tracking and reviewing the Service Improvement Implementation Plans allows the Engagement Manager to monitor:

  • Status and impact of approved service improvements.
  • Progress of appropriate implementation actions.
  • Commitment of the resources (internal and external) applying them.
  • Effectiveness of communication to stakeholders.

In most cases, tracking and reviewing Service Improvement Implementation Plans should be dealt with in a group forum, involving the appropriate stakeholders, which could be held as part of the Service Engagement Review Meetings. For large Service Engagements, the number of service improvements being managed could warrant having a dedicated meeting that specifically focuses on the tracking of service improvement plans.
